We’re all looking for skincare that works for us: but working out what works best for your skin type and concerns, as well as navigating labels and product ingredients can be overwhelming. That’s where skincare apps come in: these handy tools can help you to decode ingredients, personalise your skincare routine, track what’s actually working and even analyse your skin through selfies to help find what works for you.

We’ve rounded up a few fabulous apps, both free and paid, that can support your skincare journey and help you become skin savvy!

Think Dirty

Want to get smarter about your skincare ingredients? Think Dirty lets you scan product barcodes to see what’s inside and how each ingredient ranks for safety. It’s easy to use and works for beauty, personal care, and household items.

Pricing: Free with an optional yearly fee.

INCI Beauty

Another great App for ingredients analysis. INCI Beauty helps you analyse the composition of cosmetic products quickly and easily and is great for a detailed ingredient breakdown. It offers detailed insights into what’s really in your products.

Pricing: free of charge

Skin safe app

SkinSafe

Need some help finding products that work for your particular skin type and needs? SkinSafe makes it a little easier for you, breaking down how beauty products work for specific skin concerns. It’s especially helpful for people with reactive and sensitive skin to help you find products that fit your skins needs and keep track of products you’ve used.

Pricing: free of charge.

SunSmart Global UV

Although this isn’t specifically a skincare app – we think it’s very important! This app helps you keep track of the UV levels so you can make sure you keep yourself protected as best you can from the sun’s rays. There are other apps out there that does this, but this App is free and does the job!

Pricing: free of charge.

skincare routine app

Skincare Routine

Manage your daily routine and track your progress with Skincare Routine. Love that this app checks any potential conflicts between products and will also recommend if the products you have in your routine should be used in the morning or the evening. What’s also really cool about this is you can schedule products for specific days of the week – for example, you can schedule yourself a masking pamper session on a Friday night. It can even help you choose the order of your routine – recommending oils before moisturisers for example, but you can always switch it round if you prefer.

Pricing: free with some in app upgrades.

skin bliss app

Skin Bliss

Bring in a personalised skincare experience powered by AI with this app. Skin Bliss is a smart skincare app that starts with a quiz where it asks you questions about your skin to help customise your experience. If you pay for an account, you can upload a selfie, and they’ll use AI to analyse your face and any skin concerns, which is a great way to really get personalised suggestions based on how you skin is in that moment.

Pricing: Free, with a premium option for features like AI analysis..

With so many skincare apps out there, it’s easier than every to take control of your routine and support you on your skincare journey. Which app will you try first?
