Summer is all about warmth, about connection and the endless possibilities that come with longer, lighter days. If nature blooms in its own time and its own way, why can’t you? Today, lets slow down and take some time to reconnect and tune in with your own rhythm… here’s how.

What does ‘blooming’ look like to you?journal

Blooming isn’t about constant growth or productivity. Maybe it’s about those quiet moments of peace, or grounding yourself, nourishing your soul and reconnecting… loving yourself for where you are.

Try asking yourself this:

  • What am I stepping into this season?
  • How can I support my mind, body and spirit right now?
  • What parts of me are ready to grow and what needs to rest?

A little mindset shift

It’s not always about doing more. Sometimes it’s just about shifting your mindset and the way you think.

This could include

  • Letting go of what’s not serving you
  • Looking for small moments of joy in your every day life – a cool breeze, a smile.
  • Taking steps to do more of what fuels your soul
  • Accepting you don’t need to change or fix yourself, but that you’re learning to embrace yourself as you are.

Make your own inspiring ritual

One way you can help to reconnect and recalibrate with yourself is by creating a self-care ritual. Here’s how you can get started.

  • Set the tone by lighting a candle or opening a window to let the fresh air in
  • Spritz your favourite face mist or room spray to help ground yourself and pull you to the present
  • Start your skincare routine: cleanse your skin mindfully, focus on how the products feel on your skin. It’s a chance to say to yourself: you are worth the time and attention.
  • Take a moment to ask yourself: what do I need today? You can write this down or simply take a moment to think. Reflect on the year up to now.
  • End with an affirmation: find one that speaks to you and anchors you in the moment.

Rooted in Connection

Connection is one of the best ways we can nurture ourselves. When we surround ourselves with people who support and inspire us, it has a hugely positive impact on our wellbeing and self-esteem. This summer, try and…

  • Spending time with people who make you feel like the best version of you
  • Reach out to someone who you’ve lost touch with to reconnect
  • Find some find activities to do with your friends and make some plans: even something simple like a walk in a nice park

You are allowed to grow and flourish in your own time, at your own pace. Are you ready to step into your growth?
