Spring is in the air… you can feel it. There’s a sense of fresh energy and renewal in the breeze… the perfect time to reset, refresh and embrace new beginnings.

Spring gives us many gifts and it is a great time to reboot. How about we take steps towards being our true authentic self and free ourselves of the old, out of date pressures, expectations and negative stories,” says Mind Coach Alison Blackler.

As nature stirs around us, lets take this as a reminder to shake off the heaviness of winter and spring into the season of growth and renewal. It’s time for a Spring reset… here’s what you can do.

Declutter and Refresh

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home – take a moment to check out your beauty stash. Check expiration dates and clear out any products that have been sitting unused for too long.

As the seasons change, so should your skincare, so swap out for lighter formulas that’ll suit the warmer days.

It could also be a chance for you to generally reflect on your routine, what products have really been working for you and streamline your routine a little.

Refresh your Diethealthy food

Spring is a great time to refresh your diet with seasonal, nutrient rich foods. Look for fresh greens and juicy fruits to leave you feeling energised. Eat with the season and enjoy what Spring has to offer!

Spring is a wonderful time of the year to spring clean your gut. Ditch packaged and ultra-processed foods and get back to food as nature intended. This does mean spending a little more time preparing your meals from scratch, but the benefits are huge. When you clean up your diet and add in nutrient dense foods your energy levels increase, skin condition improves and you feel great!” says Registered Nutritionist Evie Whitehead.

Move Your Body

Warmer days make it easier to step outside and move your body. Start with some morning stretches or perhaps a lunchtime walk to brighten up your day.

Reflectreflections

It can be a time to take stock of your goals and plans for the year. Revisit the intentions you set at the start of the year: what’s working and what needs adjusting? Spring offers a bit of a fresh start, so refine those intentions. It can also be a time to let go of what no longer serves you during this time of growth as well as practising a little Gratitude. You can even set some fresh intentions in your Spring mindset!

Gratitude activates reward circuits in the brain and increases the release of dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin, all feel-good chemicals that enhance our perception of happiness, our sense of connection with others and our optimism. The more we express gratitude, the more we activate dopamine and the more likely we are to seek out things for which to feel grateful in the future,” says Sara Palmer Hussey.

Make Plans

Hibernation season is coming to and end… time to start making plans – big or small.  Spring is a season of possibility—so why not make plans that support your personal growth?

Make plans to start a new hobby that you’ve been meaning to try or plan a trip. Take some time to reconnect with friends and loved ones: connection is a key part of wellbeing. So…  schedule that coffee date or weekend plans. Now can also be the time to plan some things to look forward to. Having something exciting on your calendar can boost your mood and motivation.

Spring is all about new energy and possibilities, as well as a chance to realign yourself. Embrace this season of renewal with intention. What’s one small step you can take today to embrace this season of renewal?
