Self Tanners

Look Your Prime Anytime

Self tanners are the perfect way to get a sun kissed glow without having to go in the actual sun.

They provide a great source of tanning that can be done right at home, and they are available in every shade imaginable.

You can use many different kinds of self tanning agents to make yourself look better, but finding the right one for a certain occasion may seem like a challenge.

Here is a look at some of the different kinds of tanners there are on the market, as well as tips for applying them yourself.

Spray Tanners

Self tan spray is one of the more popular products in tanning nowadays, even if it can be a challenge to use it.

Applying spray tan requires an even coating that a lot of people cannot do well on their own.

Spray tan tends to last for a few days at a time, but it fades quickly with each wash. If you are looking for a quick solution for your night on the town, this could be it.

Tanning Lotions and Bronzers

If you are in need of a longer lasting natural self tanner, you may think about getting some tanning lotion.

This will take a few applications to show results, but it is applied just like normal lotion would be.

After days of applications, the pigments in the lotion get absorbed into the skin to produce an even, natural looking tan. Some lotions have more subtle effects than others, so you may have to experiment to get a good shade for you.

Tanning Moisturizers

If you just want a fresh from the beach glow to your face, you could try self tanners in the form of moisturizers.

These products primarily work to moisturize your face and keep your skin soft, but they can also be used for adding a little color every once and awhile.

The tan you will get from something like this will be subtle, but it could be all you need for a head turning look.

Facial Bronzer

Facial bronzer may not be considered the best self tanner out there because it is more of a tinted blush than anything else.

Designed for single applications, this bronzer will add just a subtle tan hue to areas of the face as needed.

Apply a tinted moisturizer that is one shade darker than your skin tone then apply it on your face and neck to add warmth to your skin.

To add a finished touch you can use a shimmery bronzer on your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your forehead this will highlight your features.

It can be used all year round, but it is not meant to be used on anything more than your face. Still, it could be all you need for that perfect tanned makeup looks.
