If you’ve ever been tempted to add a burst of bold colour to your hair, then you need to try Manic Panic’s Semi-Permanent hair dyes! I’ve been loving Manic Panic’s ‘Hot Hot Pink’… here are my thoughts.
As a beauty lover with naturally dark brown hair and highlights, I recently tried out Manic Panic’s ‘Hot Hot Pink’ hair dye and was excited to see just how vibrant this semi-permanent dye could be on my hair, and trust me, it didn’t disappoint. I’m obsessed!
The application
Manic Panic’s iconic formula is known for being vegan, cruelty-free, and very easy to use.
One thing I noticed was how rich the colour looked right out of the jar. It’s not just pink, it really is Hot Pink!
All you have to do it apply this bright dye to dry hair and when you wash it off, you’re left with beautiful hot pink hair.
The results?
After leaving it on for about an hour and a half (yes longer than you’re supposed to be, don’t judge me), the results were stunning. Despite my dark brown hair, the pink came out incredibly vibrant, giving me that bold pop of colour I was hoping for. I love how bright it came out on my highlights, but even on the brown it looked lovely.
I was a little worried that such a bright colour would mean lots of bleeding, but surprisingly, it was minimal. Even after washing, the colour didn’t leave a pink tint everywhere, which is a huge plus when it comes to bright dyes. How long does it last?
Since this is a semi-permanent dye, it will fade after several washes, but I’ve washed it twice so far in cool water and the colour is holding strong! The Hot Hot Pink is little more faded on my natural hair, but that’s to be expected. As the colour fades, it will transition into a softer shade of pink, which I’m sure will look gorgeous! Absolutely loving this hot pink hair dye.
My verdict
Manic Panic’s ‘Hot Hot Pink’ hair dye is perfect for anyone looking to make a bold statement with their hair and get a bit creative. It’s vibrant, fun, and easy to use—plus, the brand’s commitment to being vegan and cruelty-free makes it a conscious beauty choice. It doesn’t damage your hair like ammonia based products too – it’s more like a conditioner with colour. After getting your hair to that perfect shade of Hot Hot Pink, maintaining the vibrancy is key—especially when dealing with environmental factors like humidity.
